What in the world is a Wiki???? "A wiki is a collaborative website which can be directly edited by anyone with access to it."
What does the word "Wiki" stand for? Wiki doesn't really stand for anything! Wiki is the word used for 'quick' in Hawaii. But since the creation of Wikis, people have come out with a backonym (acronyms constructed retrospectively to fit a word) of "What I Know Is".
There are so many things we can explore using our own class wiki pages. You can share your own thoughts about what we are reading as well as respond to others. I'm so excited to hear your thoughts and feelings, but remember that the rules of the classroom apply to the Internet. Please be courteous and respectful in your replies, and remember NEVER delete what someone has already written, just add your response underneath.
If you would like a basic tutorial in using wiki pages, check out the link below!
We will be using our class novel Hollis Woods and some of the following pages as resources for our booktalk. Feel free to post comments, questions, feelings, thoughts, connections, etc.
